Two seventh-graders have been given long-term suspensions from school because they played with airsoft guns at the home of one of the kids.

The official reason for the suspensions is "possession, handling and use of a firearm."

Except, airsoft guns aren't even firearms!

But more than that: Since when have schools had the right to dictate what kids can and cannot do at their own homes, outside of school hours/activities? This is nothing short of an unconscionable overreach and "Zero Tolerance" taken way too far -- and anti-gun hysteria taken to brand new heights!

UPDATE! See this post. Short version: Even after seeking out a source that wasn't Fox "News", not even NBC News can be trusted to get its facts or stories straight.
