You know...9/11 left a lot of American's feeling disillusioned and ready for attack. Regardless of if our feelings were right or wrong, emotionally driven or coldly practical...I think most people were looking for some sort sort of action. Which is why I think that a lot of people stood up and told us to follow our President.
People 'got behind' Bush, politicians and constituents, because false information was being spread and 9/11 was such a massive "in your face america" attack that people banded together in hope of this idyllic hill.
Anyways, when people now talk about how Kerry or whomever voted in agreement with Bush's plans, I feel like saying, "so what"? I don't think a lot of them knew how far Bush intended to go and I certainly didn't.
