And for a gruff guy, he's managed to be very calm, reassuring, and compassionate toward all those going through this. He's also set partisanship aside--hopefully this is a lesson for politicians everywhere. It was great to see him smack down that idiot Steve Doocy for trying to inject Romney's political concerns into the tragedy.
I may find myself voting for Christie next year. In fairness, I've been coming around to him for awhile (see: 2010 post and early this year). The only Democrat I know of who could give Christie a solid challenge is Cory Booker.
