Posted by Sir Four at 10:55pm Jan 27 '10It was once one of my favorite shows--TV done right, as far as I was concerned. It was exhilarating--pulled me in to the storyline; made me care about what happened to the characters.
But somewhere along the way, it went off the rails. The show that was different for its willingness to kill off major characters perhaps killed off too many of its major characters? Or maybe it's the fact that it's used the same plot devices about a dozen too many times? Maybe it's that the suspension of disbelief over how Jack continues to miraculously not die (the unseen stuff that supposedly happens to him between seasons being worse than anything seen on-screen) and still function, and not end up a drooling mess in a mental ward is too big a stretch? I don't know. Maybe it's all of those things, or maybe it's just that torture porn has become unseemly these days.
In any case, I won't be watching this time.
