They confused cameras for weapons.. that kind of error is probably going to happen in a war zone. But it did seem like they were really eager to shoot some people up. It doesn't strike me as a good idea to fire on a crowd when plenty of them are clearly unarmed. And then firing on a van trying to help a wounded guy? Is that standard protocol?
Before the van came, though, the fact that they weren't firing on the wounded guy unless they saw a weapon--that's more restraint than a lot of foreign forces would show, I think.
