Ever since my roommate went out of town I've been cooking up a storm. For myself, at that! I don't even know how to cook really, most of what I've made has been pre packaged and I do little more than heat it up on the stove. Last night I made fajitas and rice.
But Tonight I made everything on my own. Now, don't get excited, it's not some 5 course fancy meal. I made a really delicious tuna melt. After I spread my butter on the bread, I added a little bit of garlic to give the bread flavor. For my side dish, I sauteed broccoli and carrots in virgin olive oil with salt and pepper. I also made rice and the mixed the vegetables in the rice and sprinkled a little cheese on it. It was soooo good y'all and I felt like a chef having only made that, lol.
Y'all don't understand though, I really DO NOT cook. The only meal I know how to make without a recipe or instructions on the package is pork chops and mashed potatoes. My roommate and I almost always go out to eat or pick something up..so I feel a little proud of myself. =)
