Okay, the cake is baked.

Its came out good. While it was cooling, I made the bases for the roses.
But then I remembered I had to make a BASE. I was going to make a 10 in cake for the base, but my mom said to make a cookie, so I did.

but then it was too small. So I made some sugar cookie dough to. BTW, in the meantime, I finished making the roses.

Okay, this next picture skips away, so I'll just tell you. I made the other cookie, frosted it, put the chocolate cookie on top, frosted it all together and put the dress cake on top of that.
ALSO, I melted some yellow candy melts and used them to make the gloves and top of the dress on the doll. Then I stuck her on the cake to dry, which is where this picture comes in:

Once she was dry, I took her out because she's hard to work around. Then I started frosting the cake from the top and was like "woah, Dawn, wait. BOTTOM UP!" So I stopped and decided to draw myself some guidelines before starting to frost from the bottom to the top, instead of top to bottom.

So I frosted all the ruffles, put the doll top back on, finished decorating the top, and did the dark yellow ruffles along the middle.
I finished it off by writing "happy birthday jada" and putting the roses around the sides and back. Btw, roses on an slant don't work well. Then I did the shell border and took pictures.

But I had ONE extra rose, so I got some yellow thread and tied her hands so they were closer together, put a line of frosting across, and then placed the final rose (not the best one, unfortunately) in her hands. I think its pretty cool. Not perfect, but pretty cool :)

Then end. :)

By the way, the whole process took about 9 hours.
