I just moved out of the dorms and into my house 11 days ago. I'm living with three other college students, and we're all finding this transition to no-mans-land between adult household and college pad a bit disconcerting. This is the first time in years that I've ever had a kitchen. This is definitely the first time I've ever planned and executed most of the household meals for multiple people. When I lived at home, mom at least picked out the recipe and made up a list of what and how much of it to purchase at the store.

Its all well and good, we've been enjoying it, but the boys have decided that we need to have a dinner party.

Guess who got volunteered to cook. For 12 people.

I don't cook. I really don't. I can, but I don't. I prefer to bake because I enjoy the end product. I'm a very picky eater and really don't enjoy dining. Why am I the person to cook an entree? I don't actually eat it. I just ate green beans for the first time in my entire life two days ago. Before that, the only other vegetable I would eat was a caesar salad, spinach (raw), and raw green bell peppers. BABY STEPS PEOPLE!

I'm making cheese stuffed flank steaks with onions and green beans for dinner. I'll let you know how it goes, especially as two of us have parents coming over. If the food turns out okay, I'll post the recipe.
