Wow. Apparently there was a fatal shooting at the University of Alabama-Huntsville today. Current reports have three dead and three more in hospital care, all of them faculty. The alleged shooter opened fire at a biology faculty meeting upon being denied tenure.
Life's hard enough in academia without having to worry about these kinds of things! I hope the families and students are able to heal.
