I've been intrigued by GURPS for a long time, but have never had the opportunity to try it. I'm now considering putting together a simple one-shot mini dungeon crawl to have in my back pocket for the next time my gaming group can't all get together to game -- those of us who can get to try out this system.

Anyone used GURPS? What are your thoughts on it in general? And do you have any suggestions for putting together a medieval fantasy dungeon crawl a la D&D?

I'm using just the freebie simplified rules right now, just to see if the system's something I could get behind. Not interested in spending money right now without knowing if it's really any good, or whether it'll work for our group or not.
