So yesterday my nose started bleeding. Not too uncommon around here where the air is so dry that spontaneous nose bleeds are almost as common as frostbite, although it was only the second spontaneous nose bleed in my life.

Anyway, I'm still trying to get over a nasty cold, including a runny nose (so there's been lots of nose-blowing and sniffling -- probably why it started bleeding in the first place). My nose is still running like a faucet, but if I blow it my nose starts bleeding again, and once that stops it's only a matter of time before it's running again; if I just sniffle instead it'll start bleeding again, too!

Grarr!!
