So I had a chance to catch this film over the weekend and I must say outright that this movie has something for everyone.

While this film is the perfect stage for Jim Carrey to exhibit his acting skills once again by taking on multiple roles through the movie, I found that Colin Firth left a little more to be desired when playing Scrooge's nephew, while Gary Oldman definitely fitted in well into the shoes of Jacob Marley and Bob Cratchitt.

The 3D effects incorporated into the film make it well worth the extra money one might pay when compared to the normal version. The movie has stuck to the book very closely, while a few minutes of film have been devoted to providing an extra element of adventure through the 3D effects.

While I did have high expectations from this film from the outset, I must admit that by the time I was walking out of the theatre I was almost wishing that the movie hadn't ended. Sitting at a length of just over 90 minutes, this film is definitely recommended for viewing for the entire family as we move further towards the holiday spirit and Christmas cheer. ^_^
