My hatred of tax time knows no limits. The complexity is really the issue. It takes me hours upon hours just to fill everything out, and then there's the fun game of tracking down all the information (I'm not very organized). Also, I stupidly underpaid last year so now I'm going to have a tax bill to pay.
Damn it. Why did Bush go for SS reform instead of tax reform in 2005? Tax reform would've been much more popular. I don't really expect Democrats to tackle it, although they should. I'm not even looking for a tax break, just a simplification.
