"Designer babies": Babies whose genes are manipulated prior to birth. I'm especially open to terms to differentiate between those who are merely "pick-and-choose" the different traits of their parents, and those whose genes were actually re-written from scratch (and are, in fact, unstable, producing abnormal and cryptid offspring). [Note: Need at least one non-derogatory term for each of these, since the upper class wouldn't tolerate such an insult to their face, but nonetheless need a way to communicate the same thing themselves.]
"Abnormals": Natural (i.e. not genetically manipulated in any way) offspring of at least one parent whose genes were written from scratch; they are genetic mutations, aberrations, and are universally shunned by society and live in their own sub-societies in the undercities of the massive megopolises.
"Cryptids": Abnormals with no visible mutations; just like abnormals, society shuns them, but abnormals also shun them. I picked the term "cryptid" because it refers to an animal "hidden" from modern science: Cryptids hide within society until they are discovered and ostracized.
"Grays": Zombie-like animated corpses brought back to a semblance of life due to a programming glitch in their medical nanobots. Extremely dangerous, I picked "gray" to refer to the color of their blood (very thick and viscous with the gray-colored nanobots), which in turn grants a gray hue to their skin. I specifically want to avoid "zombie", even though the parallels are pretty obvious.
