I've been using rechargeables for 10 or 12 years religiously, right as NiMH batteries started becoming more available.
I use Duracell rechargeables and Rayovac Hybrids. They work really well.
I have a large universal battery charger that I bought at Radio Shack about 8 years ago, charges, AAA, AA, C, D, and 9V.
