i live. that's enough, right? might as well ask "what's the point to color?" or "what's the point to gravity?"

it just is. i could run around all day trying to find some deeper meaning to gravity, or i could just accept it. ditto with living. i could concern myself with trying to find some sort of Higher Truth that explains why i'm here, or i could just live.

as for where my "moral code" comes from....it's what works for me. trying to do right by myself and others. i could just as easily justify a moral code along more machiavellian lines ("always look out for #1"), but that's not me.

Whether you realize it or not, you have "Morals". Where did they come from? Why are they important to subscribe to? Why do you even care to go on living?

my morality is based on a pretty straightforward reasoning - it works, it makes me happier following it than otherwise. as for why i bother to keep living....why not? what's the alternative? i don't know, and have no reason to rush to find out. why do i bother to listen to music? because i find it pleasing to do so - i don't need any more reason than that.

You said you try to make choices that you won't regret - but why would you regret any choices?

i regret the choices i've made that, in hindsight, should have been made differently. but i put more energy into learning from them so i have a better chance of making the "right" choices later on.

What about Love? How do you explain it?

again, why explain it? isn't loving enough? why should i have to explain why i like backrubs? it wouldn't change how much i enjoy them.
