I'm about ready to go down there and help them build it...
What kind of Christian am I if I won't defend your right to be what I consider to be wrong? We established a free country for freedom and that means EVEN when it's possibly in bad taste/insensitive to some people. Even from a pure Jesus-loving standpoint - if someone is stepping on your rights to freedom, they're stepping on mine too.
I can't go build a Christian church in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, (name your Islamic state) ANYWHERE... and that is the whole point. Let them build here - wherever they rightfully have purchased and own land just as anyone else.
