Thoughts? Opinions? Do you consider it a valid religion?
The reason I ask is because the LDS I know consider it to be another denomination of Christianity. The Christians I know don't accept it because Joseph Smith presented himself as a prophet, and don't believe the Book Of Mormon is an addition or companion to the Bible.
I'm trying to grasp what to make of this Church. They have to wear undergarments, and carry a card that says their membership is valid. The more I learn about it from someone who ALMOST joined, the more I believe it's a cult, or close enough to one.
