Just in case anyone is still following this column. This week he moves beyond elementary level arithmetic and starts working with high school level algebra. Personally, algebra always was a lot of fun for me. Formulas are like puzzles, either figuring out what number that variable represented, or figuring out how to manipulate the formula to get what you want to know.
